I think Skye did a pretty good job! 🙂 People think ground hides are so easy but reality is they are NOT! You have the air movement to deal with and odors that are moving along the ground, converging with each other and all the interesting ground distractions that the dog needs to sniff in order to find source. Oh, and add in the added smells that are brought up from the soil after a good rain and it can be tricky!
One comment, there was a moment when Skye stopped searching around (1:02). Did she really stop searching due to a distraction? Some dogs NEED to work thru scent problems by staring off a bit. Just a thought?
Oh – and what video camera are you using? The quality is excellent even at the enlarged view! 😉
