Ok, let’s go back to a combination of part A&B – three odor boxes and only 3 distractors but distractors that he would really like. What I’d like to see is Taku eventually working all of the containers but really ignoring the distractors in favor of odor. Give him lots of repetitions and reinforcement that it is odor – and only odor – that will pay! I expect this exercise to be closer to 3 minutes, which will feel like an eternity. But we want the dogs to have a great deal of success to solidify this for them. 🙂
I’ve given Linda the same assignment and something similar (with different criteria) to Deb, as well, so you ladies can have some fun! 🙂
