Interesting to see the level of frustration go up. Keep in mind she got all 3 odors by (:37) and was in the search for over 3 minutes. That’s a lot of time to be checking and re-checking.

I’m sorry, but that’s hilarious that she pushed those potato chips all around the search area, trying to get into the box! CLEARLY not odor! 😉

Darcie does start looking to you a little bit at different boxes, as if she’s saying, “What about this?” She doesn’t stay with them and her anticipation of being paid is different at the odor boxes, tho’ at one point she is hopeful with the potato chips. 🙂

At around (2:39) she looks at you “Why are we still here?” and then cruises thru the boxes, doesn’t stay at odor, and goes back to potato chips. Good choice to get her off them and rewarded for odor.

PART C for you will be to do another container search with just boxes but have your husband do the hiding so it’s blind to you. Choose 1-3 hides and make sure he puts potato chips in at least one box. Obviously this will be harder since you have designated containers for odor so you’ll have to sacrifice some to whatever he chooses to place. For you, the task is to get her thru the search area, checking all the containers and to call FINISH once you think she’s found all the hides. Do not linger too long, since you can see what happens! 😉

p.s. Make sure your husband knows to not touch odor until all the non-odor boxes are placed and/or be sure to wash hands really well before touching the non-odor containers!
