NW560M: “Skill-Building: Converging & Pooling Odors” – is an interactive 3-week SKILL BUILDING course for any level of training.

Two related subjects in this 3 week course involve the dog’s ability to sort through odor collection points and work back to source. This course is appropriate for anyone looking to improve their dog’s ability to search for multiple odors and their desire to see what their dog looks like while doing so. With a single hide the dog needs to determine that the odor they are detecting is source or if it’s “pooling” in a location and source is elsewhere. In similar fashion, with two or more hides the odors often drift and move together and are referred to as “converging odors.” The dog needs to learn to sort each odor separately and work back to multiple source locations, even when one odor converges with another odor’s source.

This 3-week course will run from Wednesday March 6 through Tuesday March 26, 2024.
