There are definite advantages to working with slower, more efficient searchers 🙂 Brody almost never blows past threshold hides, for one.

One thing that’s stuck me once or twice is that I don’t practice putting him on/off leash during searches enough – sometimes he hears the leash click and thinks we’re done. I did get a nice comment from a judge about putting the leash back on at our NW2 trial, so it’s definitely not a problem to change your mind at any point during the search.
