I actually do practice in the rain – as long as it is not too cold. In fact, Hunter’s NW1 trial was in light rain and about 50 degrees all day. I was happy it was not colder and he was never fazed. My training partner and I even set out some underwater hides after a massive rainstorm – Hunter is not a great fan of deep water, but he voluntarily forged out into water several inches deep to work the hide. We also take advantage of snow banks when they are available – that can be really fun.
