[Edited 2/6/19] Avid Nose Work fan (of course). My three dogs are Baxter (8-yr-old Standard Dachshund - NW3x2 level), Abby (12 yr-old Icie/Collie X - working on her NW3 title). I am currently starting a new Dachshund pup, Rhonda. She is from European hunting lines and very nose driven. We are making sure she has a well-rounded life including plenty of manners/obedience classes, other sports (we hope to do Rally and Agility eventually, and she is working on her intermediate Trick Dog title. But Nose Work is going to be her forte. That is already apparent at 10 months. I started teaching NW in July 2015 and became a CNWI in December 2016. Mostly though, I want to be better at this sport for myself and my own dogs! Right now, we only have two trials a year here in AK (usually May/June and Aug/Sept), so my trialing opportunities are limited unless I fly out of state (which doesn't happen often). Closest CNWI is in Anchorage - I don't get there often enough, either!
