I am British and having been living in the US in Roanoke VA for the past 19 years. I am relatively new to the world of dogs having owned two Afghan hounds in the 70's and then no more dogs until moving here in 1999. I became interested in the sport of NW about 5 years ago but wasn't able to go to my first seminar until 2012. It took a while for me to get going but since 2013 I've been hooked. I've attended three NWcamps in GA twice as an auditor and 2015 with my dog Barley) and a couple of seminars each year since then . I have been teaching pet dog training for the past 11 years at our local dog club and at various times trained my own dogs in Agility, Tracking, Obedience, Rally and Field. Due to popular demand and no trainer in the area I started teaching NW for the club members I'm in my forth year now and started my own business this March, classes remain full and popular. I am an ANWI now and hope to become a CNWI early next year. I still have so much to learn particularly when it comes to the higher levels. I took my first course with Kimberly with my 11+ year old Labrador Retriever Barley who sadly passed away at Christmas, he was working towards NW3. I am going to be working my 8 year old German Shepherd Kimba who is dog reactive but enjoys NW and ignores other dogs when working - NW has helped so much with her reactivity. I also have a young GSD who has an NW2 title but needs more experience before I start to enter him in NW3 trials.
Looking forward to learning more from Kimberly and working with Kimba. Ann
